Feeling Overwhelmed? Here’s what to do

If you’re feeling mentally and emotionally overwhelmed by your own life or just feeling all the  world events that happen at any time, keep reading for some tips on what to do. 

Focus on what you can control in your life.
✔️Limit the media you’re consuming. 15 minutes of news and social media twice a day will keep you informed. Anything more can start to cause anyone to feel all the energy of the world (especially if you are someone that considers themself to be an empath) Limiting the time prevents you from repeatedly scrolling through the same images and stories. 

✔️Re-read your favorite book or pick up a new one.

✔️Take the time to prepare a healthy meal and enjoy it with gratitude. 

✔️Move your body by going outside for a walk or taking a yoga class. At minimum try and get at least 30 minutes in each day. 

Check in on someone you care about. 

✔️If you’re craving connection, chances are someone else is too.

✔️Reach out and suggest getting together for a walk, coffee date or a meal. 

✔️Share how you’re feeling. Ask for, and offer your support.

Meditate, pray, feel gratitude.

✔️Allow your breath or favorite mantra to hold and support you as you connect with present moment awareness. Need a suggestion? Try the Meditation for Focus and Sweetness

✔️Offer your prayer.

✔️Take a moment after your practice to journal how you’re feeling, then write words of support and encouragement to yourself. What would you say to a friend who’s feeling this way? 

✔️Write 3 things you’re grateful for. If you feel stuck, write the first 3 that come to mind, no judgment.
